Our footprints - our stories

These are our footprints
- what are yours?

Cloe* is 13. She lives alone with her mother who is struggling with alcoholism.
Chloe was struggling with school, was only attending part-time and was troubled and aggressive.
We helped Chloe get the support she needed for both herself and her mother – she now attends school full-time, is learning to surf and her mother is improving. Together they are developing a healthy relationship as mother and daughter.

Dave* has an acquired brain injury and he couldn’t find work.
We helped him with his résumé, training and to find and apply for a traineeship.
Dave loves his job and has settled in well. He no longer needs our support - but many
others do.

Sophie* and her two children fled their home to escape domestic violence.
They had nowhere to go but the streets.
We helped them find a home, a support network and new life skills.
Today they are happily settled in their new home and are looking forward to a positive future.

All of her life Alicia* wanted to learn to swim.
At the age of 92 we helped her learn.
Alicia is a resident in one of our aged care communities.

What’s your Footloose Friday footprint?
Getting a hand up - it’s not much to ask but it’s a lot to receive.
