Walking alongside and in relationship with people to enhance personal, family and community well-being is what Wesley Mission Brisbane is all about.
That can mean offering a helping hand, a hand up, a friendly ear, a shoulder to cry on and a friend to share the laughter with.
Our community support services do exactly that.
Emergency Relief
Offering a hand up to Queenslanders who are experiencing difficulties getting back on their feet.
The hand-up can mean food vouchers, grocery parcels, and utility bills in extreme emergencies, vouchers for urgent pharmaceutical scripts or suburban rail vouchers for emergency travel.
This service relies heavily on donations.
National Auslan Interpreters Booking and Payment service (NABS)
This is a Call Centre based at Wheller Gardens that makes bookings nationwide for Australian sign language (Auslan) interpreters to attend private medical and health care appointments with deaf clients.
Last year alone we carried out around 16,000 bookings. For more information go to NABS.
Balmoral Uniting Community Centre
A great place to meet people, socialise and connect with your community.
Catering for a broad range of people the Centre offers a wide range of activities from morning teas and movie evenings, exercise and laughter therapy, to shopping and wine-tasting trips.

Youngcare Apartments
A place where young people who have high care needs can live a full and rich life.
Before Youngcare the options were limited for young people who, because of a disability or injury, had high care needs. Most lived in aged care facilities because there was no alternative.
The Youngcare Apartments have changed that. They offer an excellent care and service support system within fresh, award winning apartments in a youthful and invigorating environment.
