Friendship Groups


 
 
Sunday School
Come and join us on Sunday during the 9:00am service, where children of all ages share and care in the loving spirit of God. We laugh, sing and have fun sharing activities, stories and games.

Flames Youth Group
What do we do? We learn about God and have fun at the same time. If you are high school age, please come and join us. We meet during the 9.00am Church Service (excluding school holidays). Visitors welcome.

Bible Study
Small groups meet for Bible study and prayer
Where: Albert Street Church
When: 2pm to 3.30pm on the first and third Monday of each month.
Where: Aldersgate Court, Red Hill
When: 7.00pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
 
 
Choir
The Albert Street Church Choir participates in our 9.00am Sunday services as well as other special services led by our Director of Music. Weekly evening choir practices are held in the Albert Street Church as well as prior to each Sunday morning service. New members are very welcome.

Couples Club
The Couples Club has a social focus giving people a chance to get to know each other better and develop friendships. Entertainment is provided by different members within the group who organise an evening using their own particular knowledge and interests, ensuring a varied program over the year.
While our group largely comprises couples in the second half of life, we are open to couples of all ages.
New members are always welcome.
Where: Room' at Raymont Lodge, Cadell Street, Auchenflower
When: 7.30pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month
 
School for Seniors
The program commences with Music Appreciation. Morning tea is followed by Current Affairs. A variety of activities in the third hour include guest speakers and literature-related discussion. All are welcome.

When: 10am to 1pm -second and fourth Wednesdays each month (Feb – Nov)
 
 
Knitting Squares
If you like knitting, you can help us provide warm rugs to homeless people through the Albert Street Church's outreach ministries. Rugs are built up from knitted squares, working at your own pace at home, from a standard size template and pattern provided by the Church. 
 
 
Bushwalking and other activities
Those who enjoy the great outdoors can share in organised activities such as bushwalks from time to time. In particular visiting students seem to enjoy the opportunity to see  the Australian countryside, and everyone appreciates the friendly company.
These activities are arranged on an occasional basis. For details of our next bushwalk please contact our Church office.
