*Dementia is a broad term used to describe various afflictions which result in an increasing decline in functioning such as memory loss, reduced social skills, or a decrease in rationality or intellect. The early signs of Dementia are very subtle and may also include confusion, apathy or withdrawal or loss of ability to perform everyday tasks. You should always consult a doctor or a healthcare professional for a correct diagnosis if you, or the people you love, are exhibiting any signs you think may be dementia related.
