Hadden Place recognised for excellence in dementia care
Wesley Mission Brisbane has been shortlisted for the International Dementia Excellence Awards, which will take place in the Novotel Darling Harbour, Sydney, on 28th June.
The awards celebrate the significant work being undertaken to support people with dementia internationally and are a celebration of innovation and good practice.
Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Hadden Place, the nomination recipient, is a day respite and therapy centre assisting both carers and people living with a diagnosis dementia.
Hadden Place is the only centre within the Brisbane metropolitan area that provides dementia specific day respite and therapy.
The centre creates a caring, safe and home-like environment for clients, located at Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Sinnamon Park complex.
The conference will be hosted by the International Dementia Partnership of The Dementia Centre, HammondCare and the Dementia Services Development Centre and University of Stirling.
