Hunreds of visitors came through Wesley House and Albert Street Uniting Church last weekend, in conjunction with Brisbane Open House 2012. Wesley House is Brisbane’s first 5 Star Green Star 9 storey commercial building. The building is situated on prominent Ann Street next door to the historic church.

The ‘open house’ aimed to explain how improvements can be made to the environment through innovative solutions in architecture and the workplace, such as those used in the construction of Wesley House.

This new commercial building replaced the 1940s Wesley House and has been designed to defer to the presence of the Church by providing a considered backdrop. Setback from the street the new development increases views to and from the Church and creates open outdoor café space.
