Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Youth Space at Eagleby has received "Organisation of the Year" at the annual Eagleby Achievers’ awards ceremony. Youth Space was presented the award for their E-Youth Positive Lifestyle program, an initiative that encourages young people to get involved with sport and exercise.

Funded by the Eat Well Be Active program, the E-Youth Positive Lifestyle program was a great success. Forty-two per cent of the first group signed up to play Junior Rugby League at Beenleigh, and a further 29 per cent accessed Youth Space and its Active Sports Afternoons workshops.

"One of the young people enrolled in E-Youth Positive Lifestyles from Eagleby South State School was awarded a scholarship to State High for his rugby achievements - a talent that was directly nurtured by the E-Youth Program," says Community Services representative Sally Johansson.
