We are only linked by a common goal.
That is the goal of trying to live according to the example set by John Wesley.
We are also all sponsored by Uniting Church congregations in our state or local area.
What is your association with the Uniting Church?
Wesley Mission Brisbane originated from the Albert Street Uniting Church.
We are part of the Uniting Church in Australia.
What is your association with the Wesley Hospital?
We have no direct link with the Wesley Hospital.
We do both come under the banner of UnitingCare, which is part of the Uniting Church in Australia.
Do you help only Uniting Church members or only Christians?
No. We help everyone.
Our Vision statement is for “A compassionate, just and inclusive society” and we try always to live by this.

How is Wesley Mission Brisbane funded?
We rely heavily on your support.
We also receive:
- government subsidies
- corporate donations
- private donations
- some programs are fee for services but fees are kept to a minimum to try and allow access to all people in the community.

Every donation, whether cash or in-kind, is gratefully accepted.

How big is Wesley Mission Brisbane?
At Wesley Mission Brisbane we employ almost 2000 staff across our aged care, community, corporate, business and church services.
Our services extend across Brisbane to Beenleigh, the Gold Coast, Maryborough and Geebung.
How long have you been operating?
Wesley Mission Brisbane was established in 1907 by the congregation of Albert Street Uniting Church (which is over 160 years old).
In 2007 we celebrated one hundred years of caring for the community. As times have changed, so have we, and today Wesley Mission Brisbane provides a wide range of services and support for people of all ages and backgrounds.
